Kapaa Shopping Center Aloha!
A Rich History
Kapaa Shopping Center, located in Kauai's Kapaa town along Kuhio Highway, first opened for business in the 1960s under the auspices of Kahili Development Company, which was owned by NF Kawakami Store, Ltd., Commercial Properties, Ltd., M. Furugen family, and Antone Vidinha. At that time, and currently, Kapaa Shopping Center's main store was Big Save Value Center, a full-service grocery store. Kapaa Shopping Center provided a convenient gathering place for locals to shop and attend community events, such as Easter egg hunts and concerts, throughout the years.

Kapaa Shopping Center Today
Today, Kapaa Shopping Center offers a variety of shopping opportunities for Kauai's east side families and visitors. Kapaa Shopping Center remains situated in its original location, in the center of Kapaa town beneath Kahili Mountain, and provides patrons with a grocery store, post office, healthcare clinic, eateries, and more.
